With a wildlife biologist for a father, Ashley grew up with a deep-rooted love for animals. Her childhood was filled with backyard adventures catching snakes and salamanders and frequent trips to the Denver Zoo. As a teenager, she began exploring another passion—helping people—through annual summer volunteer trips with her church youth group.

In college, Ashley expanded her worldview by traveling internationally in the summers and volunteering with an organization supporting Latinx immigrants during the school year. These experiences sparked a lasting passion for cultural exchange and community empowerment.

Ashley began her professional journey in the nonprofit sector as a youth director, where she thrived in mentoring young people and organizing service projects—including those same summer volunteer trips that had once inspired her.

When The Wild Source Foundation (TWSF) was formed, joining the team felt like a natural next step. It brought together her lifelong love of wildlife, her commitment to empowering others, and her rich background in community service—all in one mission-driven space.
